Unlike other profiles students create, a Morethangrades’ profile is professional and confidential, designed specifically to aid in the admission process. Students may upload written documents, videos of activities, anything that enhances their application, even an unofficial transcript if they choose. This service is provided at no cost to the students. These profiles can then be keyword searched by colleges looking for particular profile attributes. Once created, each student account is assigned a username and password and can be accessed by the student or guidance counselor.

But that’s not all.

Educators can post evaluations of their students or full letters of recommendation, giving colleges a more complete picture of an applicant even before they apply to college. This allows students to begin the often-difficult discussion about letters of recommendation with their teachers, starting in their freshman year; something guidance counselors have told us is critical. A student can have posted on their behalf as many evaluations as they want, letting colleges know this is the type of student they are looking for.

Morethangrades also offers answers to many of the frequently asked questions students and their parents have about the college admission process by our team of guidance professionals. They can even connect directly with admissions officers at schools around the country.

Lastly, Morethangrades includes parents in the process. Parents will receive a bimonthly newsletter reminding them of important dates in the admissions process and advice from guidance counselors and other experts who are involved in the college admission process.
